9001:2000 provides the company with a quality management structure and a framework and structure for recording best practice.Like 14001 it is based around continual improvements through objectives and targets.
Unlike the previous versions of this standard including the old ISO 5750 standard 9001:2000 is less demanding on it's paperwork requirements and is designed to work with the company based around effective management.
9001:2000 is focused on achievements, customer satisfaction and process improvements and is less demanding than it's predecessors on strict conformities to precise procedures.
